I’m a writer and editor. I work across media and genres, including narrative, serialized, and episodic audio; literary short stories and novels; art curation for literary magazines; and academic and personal essays. I tell stories about power in all its forms, and I think deeply about how form creates meaning. My background spans public radio reporting, documentary podcast production, and public university education. I'm currently a Truman Capote Fellow in the Fiction M.F.A at Brooklyn College, where I also teach undergraduate creative writing and research courses. Some career highlights: I was the inaugural visual arts editor for The Brooklyn Review, I produced an award-winning episode of the podcast for HBO's "The Jinx," and one tenured professor, after observing my first-year writing course, said "I am not exaggerating when I say this is without a doubt one of the best English classes I have ever observed...the students were very lucky to be in it." I am also working on a novel.
I'm interested in editorial and creative roles that combine compelling ideas with intentional execution. I’m equally comfortable evaluating the editorial viability of a large project, managing a complex production from pitch to publication, copy-editing an article or fine-tuning an audio edit in real time. I do my best work when I'm surrounded by curious people who want to tell meaningful, singular stories, whether in a podcast, book, short video, or essay.
